As a licensed independent clinical social worker, I utilize a strength-based and solution focused approach to help support individuals who may be faced with challenging times, help foster personal growth and assist in achieving lifetime goals. I am a firm believer in individuals being the expert on their own life but at times may need guidance when faced with a struggle, feeling overwhelmed or dealing with an unexpected lifetime event or experience.
Over the years, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including individuals and families struggling with medical illness as well as children and their families who may be on the Autism Spectrum. I also have a strong managed care background, where I have been an advocate in the provider community, for children and adults, to ensure that appropriate care, care coordination and case management are being delivered in the healthcare system.
I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology at Western New England University and went on to earn my Master of Social Work degree from Boston University. Both of which provided a solid foundation for learning about human behavior and a thorough knowledge base of a variety of clinical strategies.
My goal, through a collaborative working relationship, is to help individuals and families achieve THEIR personal best and to aide them in making choices they can feel good about, despite challenges and limitations that they might be faced with.
